Street Photographer Visits a Car and Bike Show

Work.  We all, at some point in life, have to do it.  It doesn't matter who you are.  Whether you volunteer at the local food bank or one of the richest men in America (and the presumptive GOP nominee), at some point, you will have to work.  Ugh. Work requires effort, and too much effort has a tendency to increase stress.  I need relief.  Where do I find it?  You guessed it....behind the camera.

That's how I found myself on this past Saturday.  After working eight hours at my full-time job, I needed a mental break. A change of pace.  I headed toward downtown Columbia, my stomping ground.  I got my buddy on the phone to see if there was anything going on that I was missing.  He mentioned that he was at a car show at the speedway.  Cool!  He also to me that, "The brothers got their cars out here today."  I was like, cool!  To see more black men with classic cars is's just not something you see a lot of around these parts.  So, I'm thinking I'm going to see a Jaguar XKE, a 1964 1/2 Mustang, or a 57 Bel Air....

Yeah.  Uh, no. It was not that kind of car show.  After paying the entry fee, I crossed over into what would be the highlight of my day.  Some of the most creative cars and bikes (and guys and girls....and music) I've ever seen. Here's a small taste of what I saw.
